 These Terms of Service (or Terms of Use) apply to all members who join/participate in EquiVirtual (EquiVirtual.SimDirectory.com).
 Members - Participants who have sent in the form and have been accepted into the game. Also referd to as "Players" throughout the following.
 Admin - The creators/founders of EquiVirtual, responsible for the upkeep of the EquiVirtual site. Also referd to as "staff".
 Username - The name chosen by a Member upon applying for membership in EquiVirtual.
1. EquiVirtual Registration Terms |
 Due to federal laws EquiVirtual may not accept any members under the age of 13.
 All members 18 years of age and under are required to obtain parental or guardian permission prior to joining EquiVirtual
 As the Admin of EquiVirtual cannot technically verify the age of the Members, they wish to warn all parents and guardians of the inherent risks that are associated with game play on the internet. While the Admin will do their best to provide a safe, general user friendly environment, it is up to the parents and guardians to ensure that under-aged Members are educated on these risks and that an appropiate system of parental control is in place.
 There is a maximum of one account per. Player.
 Choice of UserName must be appropriate for under-age and general audiences. Usernames may not be crude, unlawful or infringe on any personal rights. It is like wise for the virtual horses created by the Member.
2. General Behaviour and Conduct |
 All Members are required to conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner befitting an evironment directed towards the general audience and children. The Admin reserve the right to remove any Member who is seen to abuse this term.
 Proper use of the english language is requested to be used at all time. Derogatory terms or internet chat speak/slang is prohibated in all areas of communication in EquiVritual, including, but not limited to, Private Messageing via the Message Boards and Associated Links (ie. Stables, Businesses, Registries).
 The sending of Chain Letters, Hate Mail, or SPAM of any kind to Members of EquiVirtual is prohibited
 Language deemed inappropriate or crude is prohibiated in all areas of communication between members of EquiVirtual, this includes MSN, AIM, Mirc. If any Member is found to be "slandering" a fellow Player it may result in perminate removal from EquiVirtual.
 The majority of EquiVirtual operates on a Three-Strikes system. The first time a Member breaks a rule they are suject to a warning. A repeat offence results in a sever fine (of SIM Dollers) and potential loss of rights with in EquiVritual. A third time offence is grounds for suspension or perminate removal from the Game.
 In some cases there will be an exception to the Three-Strikes system in which results in immidiate removal from EquiVirtual. These situations will be handled case by case.
 All elements of the immidiate EquiVirtual site are free! There is no administration or monthly/yearly account fee required to play.
 Donations, while accepted and very appricated, are not required at any point to play EquiVirtual. All recieved donations will go towards the improvement of game play.
 EquiVirtual is not resonsible for any information posted by individual Members within the site, this includes, but is not limited to, Message Boards, Private Messageing, and personal pages such as Stables, Businesses and Registries. The Admin of EquiVirtual will not accept any responsability or liability for contents posted by Players.
 5. Confidentiality |
 The Admin of EquiVirtual do not guarantee that any information submitted in/to the Game is absolutely secure, though the Staff will not distrubute or sell said information. EquiVirtual encourages Members to be careful about the information they post, and not to include such details as their real names or exact living locations. All Players should be aware that e-mail addresses are required in almost every aspect of the Game, which means that they will be accessable to other Players. If you are worried about the security of your current E-mail address we strongly encourage the use of a second e-mail account created via a free mail provider, such as hotmail or yahoo.
 The terms listed above become binding to all Members upon submitting the "Joining Form". Applicants must express their acceptance and agreement to the Terms of Service by selecting the box labeled "I have read and accepted the Terms of Service in their entirety". Potential Players cannot be accepted into EquiVirtual unless they agree to the ToS.
 The Admin of EquiVirtual reserve the right to update or change the Terms of Service at any point. All current Members will then be notified of the changes.
